Buffalo gold won

littlemint.jpgWhile much of the hobby was focused on the American Numismatic Association convention in Milwaukee, Wis., the orders continued to flow into the U.S. Mint in the usual manner.

What catches my eye this week is the small jump of 4,586 pieces registered by the proof 2007 gold Buffalo coin. This is not a large number, but in percentage terms, it is significant.

The 14-coin clad proof set is still chugging along, up a further 59,676, though sales are slowing from opening levels in July.

Interestingly, the five-quarter silver proof set seems to be lagging a bit. The difference in sales between it and the clad version is growing larger.
