Big donors join Heath Society

The American Numismatic Association introduced the Heath Society July 5 for donors who contribute $10,000 annually. It is named after ANA founder Dr. George F. Heath.

The purpose of the society is to create programming for a national numismatic experience, the ANA says. It will aim to support innovative learning opportunities through the Dwight N. Manley Numismatic Library, the Edward C. Rochette Money Museum and two new museum campuses scheduled to open in Washington, D.C., and San Francisco.

Donald H. Kagin, Ph.D., member of the ANA board of governors and head of its education committee, became a founding member of the Heath Society.
?I am joining the Heath Society because I want to assure that visitors to ANA museums in San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Colorado Springs experience numismatics in a way that will inspire them long after their tour is complete,? Kagin said.
