BEP starts order period for annual intaglio cards

BEPintaglioA0314.jpg$10 United States Notes are featured on the three intaglio print cards in the Bureau of Engraving and Printing?s 2006 Commemorative Intaglio Print Subscription Program.

The notes depicted are the Series 1880 face design, Series 1908 face design and Series 1923 back design.

?Ten Dollar Reflections? is the theme for this year?s program, the theme selected because the new $10 Federal Reserve Note is debuting in circulation this year with a March 2 initial release date.

Each card will be issued in conjunction with a numismatic show in 2006, starting with the American Numismatic Association?s National Money Show in Atlanta in early April.

Each card will also feature vignettes representative of the location where the event will be held.

A subscription for all three prints costs $51 and should be ordered before April 6.

Locations and first days of sale for the cards are as follows:
– ANA National Money Show, Atlanta, Ga., April 7.
– ANA World?s Fair of Money, Denver, Colo., Aug. 16.
– Long Beach Coin, Stamp and Collectibles Expo, Long Beach, Calif., Sept. 14.

Cards will be shipped to program subscribers after the first day of sale for each card.

The 2006 Subscription Program, BEP product number 46010, is $51. The cards will also be sold individually ? at shows and through the BEP?s normal sales outlets ? though BEP points out that subscribing results in savings of $16.50 off the individual card price for all three prints.
