Mint to receive environmental nod

Excellence in environmental systems management is rewarded as U.S. Mint receives one of 16 federal "Closing the Circle" awards from White House.

On June 12, the U.S. Mint was set to receive the White House "Closing the Circle Award" for excellent environmental management system.

It is one of 16 winners of the award in the federal government, according to the Office of the Federal Environmental Executive.

The award recognizes federal agencies and employees for outstanding achievement in environmental stewardship.

"This award recognizes our hard work and commitment in sustaining a high level of enivronmental stewardship," said Mint Deputy Director David A. Lebryk.
