AnnounceMints: 2026 Semiquincentennial $1 Coin
The U.S. Mint adds a President Donald J. Trump $1 coin to its 2026 Semiquincentennial lineup, featuring his portrait and the Presidential Seal.
In celebration of the semiquincentennial, the U.S. Mint has been rolling out new circulation coins as well as non-circulating commemoratives. The latest in the lineup is the President Trump 1-dollar coin.
The obverse features a portrait of President Trump, along with the inscriptions “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “1776~2026.” The obverse was designed by Chief Engraver Joseph Menna and is based on the official White House photo by Daniel Torok.
The reverse features the Presidential Seal, an eagle holding an olive branch and a bundle of arrows with a shield on its breast.
These coins have a circulating finish and can be used as legal tender, but will not be placed into circulation. The coins will be available from the mint in 25-coin rolls and 100-coin bags.
