Yes.. enough with the Presidents already.. except for Ben (the only President of the United States who was never President of the United States) Franklin on the half from 1948 – 1963 (geeze, did poor old Ben ever get short-changed).. you have to go back decades to the era of the “Mercury” dime, the SL quarter, the Indian head cent, and all the (ugly) Barber coins to get to circulating coinage without Presidents on them.. and I can’t think of a single pre-1933 Gold coin that ever had a Presidential bust / portrait on it.. so if I get a vote, my vote is to put Liberty back on circulating coinage.. and I’m not talking about Commemoratives, both modern and “classic” which had all kinds of people on the Obverse side.. even P.T. Barnum!.. some modern commemoratives had Presidents on them, but they were few and far between.. however, my gut tells me the US Mint has little to no creative imagination, and that we’ll be stuck with Presidents on circulating coinage until the sun explodes..
