The Chicago Paper Money Expo is this weekend, March 10-13 at the Crown Plaza on River Road in Rosemont, Ill.
This is the 17th Annual show, and it has come a long way since the first, which I also attended.
This year, in addition to the several evening auction sessions by Lyn Knight Currency Auctions, the several club meetings and education forums on Saturday, there will be an education exhibit area which will feature a full range of currency from Colonial times to the latest technologies.
Thursday afternoon is dealer set-up and public preview day admission starting at 2 PM. Regular admission on Friday, Saturday. Sunday has limited hours and is free.
You will also be able to meet Robert van Ryzin, editor of Bank Note Reporter, William Brandimore, market analyst of the Standard Catalog of United States Paper Money and me, George, editor of the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money and other stuff.
