GSNA offers tech grants to clubs

The Garden State Numismatic Association has established a Technology Grant Program for member clubs. Grants of up to $400 will reimburse clubs that have purchased cameras and related electronic equipment, typically used to project enlarged images of numismatic objects onto screens for easy viewing during meetings. Attendance strong at Waukesha show

A total of 393 paying adults as well as young people who were admitted for free came out for the Waukesha, Wis., Coin Club’s March 11 show held in Brookfield, Wis. Attendance was down slightly from the previous year’s count of 425, but organizers attribute 2011’s uptick to the bullion rush. Continue reading

ANA names Money Show host clubs

The Texas Numismatic Association and the Dallas Coin Club were appointed as host clubs for the 2012 Dallas National Money Show by the American Numismatic Association Board of Governors in a unanimous vote during a Feb. 21 teleconference meeting. Central States show hotel filling up

The Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel, host facility for Central States Numismatic Society’s 73rd Anniversary Convention set for April 18-21, is nearing sellout. A room rate of $139 is available to Central States attendees, said Kevin Foley, convention chairman. He urges those interested to make reservations while space is still available. Continue reading

GNA to offer two ANA scholarships

The Georgia Numismatic Association is accepting applications for two scholarships for the 2012 American Numismatic Association Summer Seminar in Colorado Springs, Colo. The scholarships are available to both Young Numismatists, ages 13 to 22, and senior numismatists. The two one-week sessions are scheduled for June 23-29 and June 30-July 6.
