Mint runs out of silver Eagles

The U.S. Mint just announced it has run out of 2013 silver American Eagles and will cease sales to its Authorized Purchasers until on or about Jan. 28. The Mint will also invoke its rationing system called allocation when sales resume.

So far, the Mint has sold 6,007,000 of the 2013 coins. This compares to 6,107,000 coins sold for the entire month of January in 2012.

HA! Oh boy, here we go again. What kind of shenanigans is the U.S. Mint up to this time? I wonder if it has something to do with increasing their profit margin.
