Do something or sleep?

When I travel to Berlin for the World Money Fair, I have a “to do” list that is rather lengthy.

I also feel the ravages of jet lag.

When the alarm goes off in the morning, it feels like the middle of the night. For my body, that is precisely the time it is. It is midnight in Iola when the new day beckons in Berlin.

Perhaps I am not meant to be much of an international traveler. This is the only show that takes me across so many time zones.

The rest of the year an hour’s difference is about it.

But if you ask me whether I need to be here, my answer is an emphatic “yes.”

At no other time and location can I speak with so many Mint directors and marketers.

Knowing what they are thinking and doing is of more than a little importance.

However, to learn what they are thinking, I myself need to be able to think a little bit and jet lag needs to be overcome.

But there is a silver lining. Posting time for my morning blog is midafternoon in Berlin.

If my mental cobwebs haven’t cleared by then, my problems are greater than a little jet lag.
