Do you remember when you were a kid when you went outside only to discover that every other kid in the neighborhood seemed to have disappeared that day?
I have kind of felt that way so far this week.
Coming in yesterday morning, I fired up my computer and got going on checking the price of precious metals and reading emails.
The only problem was there weren’t that many emails to read. If it weren’t for the junk, I would hardly have had anything to do.
This morning it is the same story.
Where is everybody hiding?
Even the weekly poll question asking whether a drop in the number of bullion silver Eagles is a signal that silver won’t rise elicited fewer responses than I might have expected given the rapid increase in the price of the precious metal in recent weeks.
With last week’s poll question about the 10 confiscated 1933 $20 gold pieces I received numerous responses, so I don’t read too much into this week’s experience because life is full of such pauses and less than stellar poll questions.
But right now I feel like I am standing in the yard with a ball and no one to throw it to.
Where have you gone?
