Details have yet to be finalized, but the launch ceremony for the Colorado quarter will likely include a surprise delivery.
According to a spokesperson from the office of Colorado Gov. Bill Owens, a Wells Fargo stagecoach is expected to carry the state quarter from the Denver Mint to the state Capitol for the launch, which takes place June 14.
Festivities will begin around 11:30 a.m., according to the spokesperson.
Gov. Owens and Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper are expected to be on hand for the event, which will include an exchange session for those willing to buy rolls of the quarter with their bills.
Officials are still working on plans for the event. The first strike was May 24.
