Silver commemorative may honor park

The 100th anniversary of Glacier National Park will be celebrated with a silver dollar in 2010 if legislation introduced in the House of Representatives April 8 becomes law.

Called for are 200,000 silver dollars, an unusually low number for recent commemorative legislation. A surcharge of $10 per coin would raise money for the Glacier National Park Fund of Whitefish, Mont.
