Roosevelt goes on sale

Will the historical emotional attachment of Americans to Franklin D. Roosevelt translate to large scale sales of the Presidential dollar coin bearing the image of the 32nd President?

We are in the process of finding out, as sales of bags and rolls of the coins began Aug. 28.

Single 25-coin rolls of either “P” or “D” coins are priced at $32.95.

Bags of 100 of either mint are priced at $111.95 each and 250-coin boxes are $275.95.

All orders will be assessed a $4.95 shipping and handling charge.

Place orders online at www.usmint.gov, or by telephone at (800) USA-MINT.

While he knew victory was certain, he died three weeks before Germany surrendered and four months before Japan’s capitulation.
