Morse Collection posted online

Featured in a Heritage sale scheduled for Nov. 3, the complete listing of the Phillip Morse Collection has been posted at HeritageCoins.com.

“The Morse Collection is made up of coin after coin in superlative condition; in fact, the collection-wide condition of these masterpieces is unparalleled,” said Heritage president Greg Rohan. “Simply, the entire collection is breathtaking.”

To view the collection, which features the coinage of Augustus Saint-Gaudens, follow the link on the Heritage home page.

“We felt our clients would want to know about every coin in the collection, including the duplicates that won’t be sold on Platinum Night, before formulating their bids,” said Heritage co-chairman Jim Halperin.

Most of the collection will be sold Nov. 3 during Heritage’s Platinum Night session at Palm Beach, Fla.

Other Heritage auctions will include many of the less expensive coins from the collection, as well as the better duplicates.

A 1914 $2.50, graded MS-65 by Professional Coin Grading Service, and a 1926 $2.50 in PCGS MS-64 are two of the highlights.

“Our Platinum Night session on Nov. 3 promises to be the most incredible night in numismatic history,” said Heritage CEO Steve Ivy. “The Morse collection, by itself, is expected to be the greatest single-session one-owner coin auction of all time. And then add to that the numismatic treasures of more than 150 consignors who wanted to sell alongside the Morse coins.”
