Lincoln Presidency rolls make fast dash

Two-roll sets of the Lincoln Presidency cent design have gone on sale and in less than a week the Mint has sold 153,427 of them. That’s a strong start, but it isn’t strong enough to predict a sellout or at least reach the 300,000 mark that was called a sellout for the second design. The third design is still on the market and selling additional small quantities from week to week. Can the fourth design at least match the current sales number for the third design, which is 248,246? There are probably good odds of that.

The rate of sales of the proof Buffalo gold coin has declined again. This week 4,316 were sold to take the cumulative total to 32,271.

As for the bullion version, it sold 12,500 this week to bring the November monthly total to 23,500.

The big action was in the American Eagle bullion coins. The gold version registered weekly sales of 31,500. The silver version chalked up sales of another 775,000 to bring the November total to 1.6 million.

The Ultra High Relief gold $20 total inched ahead by 1,098 to reach 104,862.
