Forth Worth names club officials

The Fort Worth Coin Club elected its 2009 officers at its monthly meeting Nov. 6, it was reported in the December issue of the electronic newsletter Fort Worth Coin Club News.

The Election Nominating Committee, made up of Bill Yates, Jack Allen and Bob Millard, presented the slate of candidates. There were no nominations from the floor.

Lorenzo Horalek made a motion that the slate be elected and John Post seconded. The slate was elected unanimously.

2009 officers are Debbie Williams, president; John Post, vice president; John Black, treasurer; and Walter Fabisiak, secretary. Ben Channell and Dennis Wynn were named directors.

Three new members were voted into the FWCC during the meeting: Randall Carman, Frank Helm and Betty Helm.

The club also adopted a new logo. The updated version created by Ben Channell features the state of Texas filled in with the state’s flag. The logo carries the club name and “October 7, 1954,” the date FWCC was established.
