Dollars and cents lead Henry auction

 

A coin and currency auction conducted Aug. 25 in Lasalle, Ill., by Sonny Henry’s Auction Service exceeded expectations, according to the firm.

Indian Head cents and silver dollars led the way in the sale, which featured over 500 lots.

An 1872 cent graded MS-63RB by Numismatic Guaranty Corp. realized $1,175 while a 1909-S graded NGC MS-63RB fetched $1,150.

An 1888-S Morgan dollar graded NGC MS-64PQ sold for $880.

Prices do not include a 10 percent buyer’s fee.
