Members of the Chicago Coin Club met recently to discuss their volunteer responsibilities for the 2011 American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money Aug. 16-20 in Chicago. The convention’s host club met in the offices of Harlan Berk at 77 W. Washington Ave. in Chicago.

Attending were General Chairman Bob Leonard, Assistant General Chairman Mark Wieclaw, Chicago Volunteers Manager Carl Wolf, Bob Weinstein, Paul Hybert, Marc Ricard, Harlan Berk, Dave Simpson, Bill Burd, Elliott Krieter, Bob Feiler and Andy Plioplys.

The Chicago Coin Club was organized in 1912 as American Numismatic Association Branch No. 1, and reorganized under its present name in 1919. All are invited to join. Dues are $20 for adults and $10 for juniors. It holds monthly meetings in downtown Chicago, plus at major numismatic conventions such as the Chicago International Coin Fair and the Chicago Paper Money Expo, with a speaker featured at every meeting except the annual auction held at the November meeting.
