Arizona quarter commission established

Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano signed an order establishing a commission to decide on the design for the state’s quarter, to be minted in 2008.

The commission will submit up to five narrative concepts for the quarter to the U.S. Mint in September 2006. It will be made up of representatives from the Arizona legislature, historical and arts communities, K-12 teachers and at-large members of the public.
