The American Numismatic Association will call Sacramento home for its spring 2011 National Money Show. The event is set for March 17-19 at the Sacramento Convention Center. More than 500 coin dealers are expected to attend.

Educational programs kick off before the official start of the convention. A seminar titled “Coin Conservation, Authentication and Grading” will be held March 14-16, and “Fundamentals of Numismatic Photography” will take place March 14-15.

The ANA encourages members to share their research and ideas with fellow hobbyists by giving a Numismatic Theatre presentation during the show. Learn more at www.nationalmoneyshow.com/index.php?id=30

The ANA Museum Showcase will feature exhibits from the ANA Edward C. Rochette Money Museum and rarities from private collections.

The Sheraton Grand Sacramento is the event’s host hotel, and the ANA says rooms offered at reduced convention rates are going quickly. To make reservations, visit http://r.listpilot.net/c/money/5qpi8wi/2g2vx.

Businesses looking for convention-related promotion opportunities can do so by advertising in the official show program and through a variety of levels of show sponsorships. For more information, contact David Truesdell, ANA sales and sponsorship manager, by phone at (719) 482-9847 or by e-mail at truesdell@money.org.

Public show hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 17-19. Admission is free for ANA members and children 12 and under. Non-member admission is $6 per day.
